The Road Cain Walks (© 2003)

This is the first book I attempted to write and made the mistake of self-publishing well before it was ready. All mistakes appear as in the original publication (despite the torture it causes the editor in me). I'm sharing it here for a couple of reasons: (1) as a cautionary tale of what happens when you skip the full process of rewriting and polishing your novel and (2) because I'm still immensely proud of the work, despite all its imperfections, which are many.

The full book will eventually be available to read here, but it will take some time. I wrote it on an old iMac and am too cheap and tech illiterate to convert the files. So for now, I'm transcribing it from the original printing.
